Hand with Reflecting Sphere 1935 - Lithograph
During our first computer lab class for Foundation Design Heather had us search for images on line to view and save different art/design styles. She gave us a list to help us begin our searches and M.C. Escher was one of the suggestions. I've seen this image before and like it because it is very detailed and is a good example of lines.
This is really cool. I always see drawings like this and I wonder how the artist is able to capture the image then translate it into an actual drawing. I might be crazy but it just fascinates me.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, it doesn't seem like an easy task to do. I believe works like this entails a lot of careful observation. It also might be helpful to ask an accomplished artist how they have or would achieve something like this. However, I'm sure plenty of practice and development of techniques would also be helpful in creating a work like this. I think it's even more amazing because it's a lithograph which I would assume to be more difficult than drawing this on paper..
